Consulting services for the Design and Construction of Rooftop Units at the Evergreen Seniors Community Centre.

The City of Guelph requires a consultant to complete mechanical, electrical, controls and structural engineering design, contract administration, commissioning and performance verification for the replacement of eight rooftop units (RTUs) with air source heat pumps (ASHP) at the Evergreen Seniors Community Centre, located at 683 Woolwich St., in Guelph. The City has completed an initial feasibility study which summarizes existing conditions and considers requirements for the new ASHPs. This report is included as an Attachment to this RFQ. Note that this report has not reviewed existing conditions for structural but makes note that ASHPs would be heavier than existing units. The consultant shall prepare and submit with their Bid Proposal a person-hour–time-task matrix based on their plan to complete the anticipated scope of work. This would form the basis of the Staffing Schedule and would be the upset cost limit for the provided consulting services Time and Materials with Upset Cost Limit based contract. The recommended format for the matrix is as follows. Additional detail under each Task can be added as needed. The matrix should include all anticipated persons and anticipated hours to work on the project. It should align with the personnel and rates submitted in the prequalification RFP.

This tender is being issued to the successful pre-qualified firms from Contract RFPQ 25-042. Pre-qualifications of Consultants for Mechanical Design Services for Facilities and Energy Management. The firms that have pre-qualified are eligible to submit a bid.
