| Description: |
The City is seeking Tenders to provide the Goods and Services for the cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of the 100-Steps Watermain, which runs between the intersection of Huron Street and Elizabeth Street and the intersection of Grove Street and Metcalfe Street. The 300 mm diameter cast iron watermain, built in 1902, passes under the Metrolinx rail tracks and along steep terrain. The rehabilitation scope includes the section from the tee at the Metcalfe/Grove intersection to valve V44-153 near the Huron/Elizabeth intersection, as shown in Figure 1. The straight-line distance between the start and end points is about 120 m. However, the actual watermain length may be longer (about 130-150 m) as it passes under railway tracks and follows the mountain slope. |
