Description: |
The City of Guelph is undertaking a critical initiative to optimize the management of its assets and the work required to maintain them, enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery across its diverse service areas. Guelph, a dynamic and progressive city of approximately 145,000 residents in southwestern Ontario, is committed to providing exceptional services to its community while ensuring responsible resource allocation and the long-term sustainability of its infrastructure. This commitment necessitates a robust and adaptable system that effectively manages both the City's assets and the associated work activities. To achieve these integrated goals, the City is exploring two potential paths forward: either procuring a new, comprehensive Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system or partnering with a new implementation partner to fully realize the potential of the IBM Maximo software, which the City purchased in 2020. Option 1: New EAM System: This option seeks proposals for a complete EAM solution that provides a balanced approach to both asset management and work management. Respondents should demonstrate their system's ability to manage asset lifecycles, including planning, acquisition, operation, maintenance, and disposal, while also effectively managing the associated work activities, such as work order creation, resource scheduling, time and materials tracking, and mobile access for field crews. Integration with other key City systems is essential. Any solution proposed must be a hosted solution. Option 2: Maximo Implementation Partner: This option seeks proposals from experienced Maximo implementation partners who can provide the expertise and support necessary to fully implement and configure the City’s existing Maximo software, focusing specifically on maximizing its integrated asset and work management functionality. Respondents should demonstrate their deep understanding of Maximo's capabilities in both asset management and work management, their experience with similar implementations, and their ability to integrate Maximo with other City systems. The Maximo solution is currently hosted and must remain so. |
