The City of Guelph manages a large portfolio of building facilities that support the delivery of services to the community. These include administration, operations, recreation and emergency services, arenas and performance venues, museums, libraries, parking and more. As part of the City’s normal asset management practices facilities are assessed on a cyclical basis to ascertain the status-quo physical condition of each facility as a whole and the condition and functional performance of the individual elements within each facility. The deliverables from the facility condition assessment (FCA) project will result in the City receiving an updated inventory of the elements within the facility in combination with a list of recommended and prioritized actions to remediate or mitigate any noted issues with the elements or a facility. These recommendations include cost estimates to complete those actions.
